Archeologisch Kastell Boiotro – special exhibition exhibition in the Archeologisch Kastell Boiotro Passau by the 11.4.2008 until October 5, 2008 that shows Kastell Boiotro Passau RomerMuseum in conjunction with the cast collection of antique plastic Berlin from 11 April 5 October 2008 the exhibition Roman imperial portraits In the Centre of the exhibition are the round plastic portraits of Roman emperors from the beginning of the Principate, Caesar Augustus to the late Antiquity with the effigy of the Emperor Diocletian. Over 50 casts describe the development of Roman portrait art during the Imperial period. Font tables explain the different manifestations and sites of the portraits. The different types of image appear on the example of the Augustus portraits and explains their importance. Colour reconstructions provide a previously little-known way of antique plastic of of portrait of.
