Introduction After little more than a century, no one today can deny the enormous transformation Basketball has suffered since it was invented. Neither his own creator, Dr. James Naismith, could imagine that this game would reach such popularity. The reason of this growing interest is none other than the continuing evolution of its rules, done that has given greater mobility, speed and spectacle. This dynamism requires also to a continuous renewal of all its protagonists who are required increasing demands. Among these we must mention a figure known by the Most, but whose work is supported by a minority. This character represents the image someone considered rare, because the special character of its mission. For this reason, this person known as “the referee” must make every effort in their work, for which he needs for a qualitative improvement in the preparation, knowing the great importance of the role it has played. Such preparation should be understood as the development of three aspects (physical, technical, tactical) through a process planned and specialized. Of the three cited, it is remarkable for the physical component is the aspect developed to carry out effective work. 1 .- THE EXERCISE AS PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE AI like any other human activity, development of physical can respond to many different purposes depending largely on the who perform it. The most common uses are: Hobby, Leisure, Entertainment, Placer, Aesthetics, Health or Obligation. Among these is necessary to refer to the latter not being the most important but because they “regrettably” the objective is most used by the arbitrators. Can generally be said that preparation is done arbitral driven by the need to meet certain obligations, such as to pass some test or keep physically well during the season. At first glance, this statement may be incomprehensible to the vast majority of referees as this is a practice traditionally considered correct. Nevertheless, although acceptable and respectable to be regarded as the wrong approach, and that when the arbitration is no longer a priority the training as an obligation loses its rationale. As a consequence, there is a progressive decrease in motivation which translates into an attitude of reluctance and where any physical activity involves an entire great effort.Accordingly, we begin by reducing the number of sessions Page 2 of 6 training, which is already worrying if one considers that usually be scarce. Then reduces the duration of the session itself, or not done in his all, finally opting for the abandonment of the activity. For this reason, try to carry out an approach whose objectives are conditioned by passing situations, but are subject to said entity arbitrator as a person, which will contribute to the development of habits and customs with clear intention of supporting any purpose. In short, it aims to develop a reflective attitude on the importance of physical activity not only for the arbitration, but as a basic aspect to improve the quality of life, and as a means to enjoy and make a constructive leisure, thus promoting the development of habits that make physical activity an activity permanent. 2 .- knowledge to act A second problem with the referees found consists of a obvious lack of information regarding physical exercise, which causes a logical ignorance on the most basic concepts and the means and purposes that govern the physical preparation.
